So, we have ants in our kitchen. This has happened occasionally in the past, with bad bouts of wet weather and they venture in the back door (literally) and we have a couple small skirmishes, and they are once again vanquished back to the garden. This year, they brought in reinforcements - and the constant rain has not helped things. So, wish me luck as we actually have some eco-friendly professionals out to the house to help with the battle. I'm so very much a DIY girl, but I had to call in the reserve troops for this one...I mean, they got to my raisins! bastard ants! ;)
That didn't stop me from having a fabulous Beeswax Collage class last night, complete with gypsy-themed music from "Cleopatra" and hot tea. This is a little piece I made myself while my students worked on theirs. There is just no way I can watch all that creativity happening, and not add to it a bit!
I also started on a piece featuring Portland's beloved St Johns Bridge (and my favorite, and closest bridge) but that one is not quite done yet...the unveiling will be next week.
I promised myself some selfish "nesting" this time, decorating the nursery. Wish me luck in my endeavors and that I don't succumb to TOO much cuteness!
