I couldn't resist sharing another two NEW pieces that will be at the SE Area Artwalk this weekend. I created these to highlight my continued love of botanical illustrations; especially those of poppies! I grew up in California, surrounded by those bright orange ethereal beauties around the landscape. And I even have them growing in my current garden in Oregon - quite by accident, too! They were there when I moved in - and I love them every year!
Many times I create pieces that are "one of a kind" that stand alone, but I've been enjoying making these "sets" of work that blend together. They are all a bit different still (can I tell you how much I love doing new things?!) but they tie together well.
I have a laundry list a MILE long of items to do before the artwalk this weekend, so I will be quiet on here until then. But, enjoy these pieces as a little bit of early summer sun!
