This past July, Jason and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. We enjoyed the day very much, but with a barely three month old baby, it was not in the cards to do much in the way of "getting away from it all". However, this past Friday evening Jason and I finally got to spend a night for just the two of us playing tourist in our hometown of Portland, Oregon. It was wonderful!
We spend the night at the Benson Hotel, ate dinner overlooking the city at Portland's City Grill Restaurant, had cocktails and dessert at Huber's, and then awoke in the morning to breakfast at Jake's. Yes, we enjoyed "old school" Portlandia...and it was wonderful.
And you know the best part? (besides 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep)
Going to my parents' house rested and refreshed and seeing my beautiful baby girl again! Now I've got a bit of pep in my step to devote to her again!
I know I've been away from this blog for far too long, and I'm going to try and make a bit more time for it soon....but I just had to share about the wonderful evening.

Congratulations to a beautiful couple. What a great idea for a special anniversary. I may have to try this myself next time. xo
Congratulations! After 10 years, it really changes your life to have a baby (I know!), but it's worth it! 8-]
What a nice little get-away.
Congratulations! Ten down, only 40 to go. LOL
